How to I allow more than one computer to connect to the Internet?
To allow more than one computer to connect to the Internet at the same time you need to put in a home network. With our system, you can do with with either a hub, switch, a SOHO (small office home office) router, or SOHO firewall.
A hub or switch in the simplest and cheapest installation. You will need to connect all your computers and the EUM3000 to the hub using straight through Category 5 patch cables. The crossover Category 5 cable that comes with the EUM3000 kit will not be useful. Additionally if you are using a hub or switch please review the tech article about issues relating to networking more than one computer.
The next option for home and business networking would be to install a SOHO router. These really don't cost much more than a hub or switch, and slightly more security. Of course these are a little more involved to configure, but that is because they provide additional features.
A SOHO firewall is your best bet as they are designed to provide protection against people that may try to gain unauthorized access to your computer network. If you are a business and using our system, we strongly recommend installing a SOHO firewall.
