Since 1996 the City of Buffalo has provided fiber optic and high speed Internet services to businesses, schools, and government buildings in the City of Buffalo.
In November 2001 we extended Internet service to residential and small business customers by providing high speed wireless Internet using our 900 Mhz Waverider wireless network.
In May 2008 we will launch our Bison QuantumCONNECT wireless network in an effort to improve performance and allow higher connections speeds for our customers.
Buffalo Wireless Internet Group (BWIG), owned and operated by the City of Buffalo, continues to serve as the support center for providing Internet service to our customers.
BWIG prides itself on local service and local support. You can walk in and speak in person with our technicians anytime. You won't find personalized service like that anywhere else.
