BWIG Antenna Alignment Tool

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Antenna Alignment Tool is to allow customers to be able to gauge of radio signal strength of their service from their computer.  The tool shows in red, yellow, and green bars the strength of the radio signal.  (Red being poor and green being best.)  You must have the most recent firmware release, version 3.4, on your Waverider modem in order to use this software, and you must obtain a Subscriber Activation Key from Technical Support.

TO DOWNLOAD

1)  Click here to download the Antenna Alignment Tool.

2)  Click Save to save the file to your computer.  You will need to choose a location where you want to save it.

TO INSTALL

1)  Once the file is downloaded to your computer, use Windows Explorer or My Computer to browse to the location where you saved the file.

2)  Run the installation of the Antenna Alignment Tool by double-clicking on AntennaAlignSetup.exe

3)  Follow the setup instructions in the installation wizard to install

the tool to your computer.

TO RUN

1)  Launch the Antenna Alignment Tool from the desktop shortcut.

2)  Enter the Subscriber Activation Key which you received from Technical Support.  If you do not yet have a Subscriber Activation Key, contact technical support to obtain one.

3)  Select Align from the Toolbar and choose Align Site from the application drop-down menu to enable antenna alignment.

4)  Adjust the antenna position until signal strength displays a green bar in chart on right side of window.  There will be cases where the yellow middle bar will provide adequate signal.
